I know what you’re thinking: Why is the blog name in Spanish? Well the title of this blog in English means “Send me to the World.” I based this title on the verse in Isaiah 6 where Isaiah is responding to God’s call by saying, “Here I am; send me.” He was willing to stop everything and follow God’s command. In my freshman year of college I knew that God was calling me to do international missions. I did not know exactly where until my second mission trip to Ecuador my sophomore year. During that trip my heart broke, and I knew that my prayers of where I should go were answered. This title is in Spanish because of my passion for Ecuador.
I know what else you’re thinking: What if you end up somewhere other than Ecuador? Would you keep the title in Spanish? Good question. I understand that in any moment God could take me halfway across the world. Of course a piece of my heart will always be in Ecuador, but I would be willing to go wherever God calls. To answer the question, yes, I would keep my title in Spanish. It would be a reminder of where I started off, having a passion for missions in Ecuador. Throughout the course of this blog, I hope that God will give me a passion to share His word to many places. Even when times get tough on the mission field, I can always be reminded of where my passion for sharing God’s word started.
I plan to use this blog to document my adventures that God has already taken me on and the ones He will take me on whether I am in the United States or halfway across the world.
